    COPR this week?

I'm going to draft an email to my local MP to send off concerning the wait a lot of us who applied in January, February, March and April of 2020 have had to go through whilst a lot of people who applied long after us are getting PR within their 6 month time frame. Again, don't get me wrong, I'm...

    COPR this week?

Honestly I'm very happy for all these people getting their CoPR but seeing people that have received theirs despite them applying 4 or 5 months after me and others that have been waiting since Jan/Feb/March is absolutely infuriating. Has anyone tried reaching out to their local MPs to see if we...

I submitted a request to CBSA last week but haven't received anything other than the generic email reply acknowledging receipt. Is there anyway to see if they've started working on it at all?

That's the exact same stage that I'm at too. Hopefully they're working through the backlog and we're close to getting everything completed!

    COPR this week?

So normally what happens is one office will do all the processing and "work" on the file, then they transfer that to your local office who completes it and sends everything out. That's why there's a transfer in the office.

    Is Winnipeg your local office?

    COPR this week?

Hey guys, I have a question regarding the criminality check for PR and BOWP. My BOWP was approved within a week of my biometrics being uploaded and it all got pushed through very quickly. If criminality is the last thing pending on my PR application, and it passed for BOWP, does that mean I...

    COPR this week?

Yes, you can work for the same employer or any other employer once it's approved. While your BOWP is still in the process of being approved, and you're on an 'implied status' you have to abide by the terms of your initial work permit. If that says you're restricted to one employer or a certain...

    Great Vancouver Area Biometrics Tracking

I checked my profile a little later the same day and the biometrics number and date given appeared in the top right hand corner as I think it looks like yours did. Then I got an email about 10 days later for my BOWP saying it was complete and that it was processed. My PR is updated to complete...

Can confirm, mine was updated within about 3 hours but others on the forum have had it take a day.

    BOWP Tracker 2020

The BOWP is an open work permit so you can change employer but you might run into issues as you've claimed points for a job offer in your PR application.

    BOWP Tracker 2020

Just an update on my BOWP, I received confirmation it was approved on the 27th of November and it was in place from November 26. When I called IRCC they said they mailed the hard copy of my work permit on the 26th of November and it arrived by mail yesterday (15th of December). I'm in Vancouver...

    BOWP Tracker 2020

You'll probably get another correspondence letter confirming the details of your work permit and eTA in the next day or so. It was the same order for me, one day apart. They'll then mail the hard copy out.

Fantastic news, thanks for getting back to me!

    COPR this week?

I never submitted PCC but did submit a police check from Australia as it was requested in my initial list of documents. I've given biometrics and after calling IRCC, they noted that my criminality was in progress. Can I assume this means I don't need to provide a PCC from RCMP in addition as...

    BOWP Tracker 2020

I'm not 100% sure. It just has the work permit and eTA numbers on it as well as expiry dates, it's not the full work permit.

    BOWP Tracker 2020

You'll likely get a pdf shortly that says it's been approved as well as your eTA and work permit number. The work permit is then mailed out but it's been taking awhile to get to people I think with the surge in mail leading up to the holiday period.

    BOWP Tracker 2020

Mine was mailed on November 27th and I'm still yet to receive mine. Confirmed with someone from IRCC and he said that Canada Post has advised it could take the full 6 weeks (or whatever it says) to get to me in Vancouver. Would love to hear if anyone else has received it and when their permit...

    BOWP Tracker 2020

It's yet to arrive unfortunately :( I called and they said it can take up to 8 weeks but hoping it's delivered sooner. When you say it's been 24 hours, you mean from the time the decision said "approved"? If so, it should be there any minute now!
