Unless you only have a total of 6 courses to complete --- check this in the univ...in UofA we had 6 courses each in fall and winter..

So I believe your permit is already valid for the next four years - I doubt they will extend the study permit so soon - I mean you have not even started studying...they usually extend it closer to the expiry - at that time you can also show them that you have been studying and so and so courses...
