hello
if i come on student visa to canada can my husband come along with me?i mean both at the same time and once coming there can he convert to work visa?if so how many days it would take for him to convert to work visa?and my last question is how many years after i can apply for pr if i go on study visa?

Does your husband have a canada visa? If yes, what kind? He can for sure accompany you to canada...but he will need to get a visa first and then apply for your student visa - basic requirement to meet here is show strong ties to your home country (through family, work etc)..

Secondly - you cannot just decide to convert your (visitor) visa to a work visa (permit)....its not that simple...you need an employer in canada willing to offer you a job and a Postive LMO (google if you dont know what this is) from Human resource canada. Once this is done then he can apply for a work permit...can take upto 2 months depending on type of application.

Last - If you go on a student visa, you must complete your education and then apply depending on the category you are eligible - it has nothing to do with the number of years in canada..even if you are in canada for 10 years but studying or working in a profession that does not qualify...you will not be eligible for PR.
