    Sponsoring Parents in 2015

You did not have the worst luck. Read someone's comment a few pages earlier, that he has been trying to apply since 2011.

Won't be next day. But according to multiple sources, the 8:45am delivery was more likely after 12:30pm.

It's politics. The government is looking for a balance. They can't completely cut people out, but they can't let everybody in either. They set a cap each year with certain backlog to reach a threshold that maximizes new immigrant's benefit but also protects civilian's domestic interest. I'm...

Did you ask TD what transaction was attempted this afternoon? Are you sure it was from CIC? If it was, you'd better call right now (or tomorrow, since it's after 4pm already). It's in their instructions that failed CC transactions will result in returned documents. So you better act quickly to...

I take that "thousands of items" with a grain of salt. But even there were thousands of items, not all were destined to that building. And for the small subset of those packages that were delivered to that building, not all were sent to the same department. We're not talking about thousands. I'd...

The biggest myth in this thread so far is the delivery time stamp at 8:45am on January 2 by Purolator. Many people want to find out the truth.

I have similar story. I checked with Canada Post a few times and decided to send my package on Dec 31 morning. The representative told me the package will be out on the same day and deliver on Jan 2. It only turned out that the pickup truck never showed up on that day. It stayed at my local...

The spread sheet showed your cc has been charged. And you were with purolator.

I'm sure they can. And they charge $75 sponsor processing fee.

Spread sheet fixed. Looks like fanboy entered at wrong location......

Doesn't look like typo of any sort. But of course that would be a huge surprise. When someone claimed being charged on CC on Jan 8, many have believed it was a troll and fake post too. :-*

According to the spread sheet, there's an application which arrived on Jan 6 and already been charged on CC. Big congrats! But I guess CIC is not processing exactly based on time stamp?

There could be many applications delivered at 8:45am in bulk.

Anyone with Canada Post got charged on CC yet?

When was the cap filled last year?

It's literarily impossible for CIC to return a package this early. Can you check your tracking again? I almost think this is something irrelevant.

Maybe I misread some guideline, I don't believe country of residence made difference here.

    Sponsoring Parents in 2015

Maybe just red herring, but the application with CC been charged seemed to be mailed via FEDEX. There are a few other applications by Purolator arrived early on Jan 2 but none seen CC charge. Coincidence? I'm sure packages were coming in large volume so they may not be processed exactly based on...

What does CC charged mean? Guaranteed spot? Files validated successfully?

Everybody not named "Immigration Officer" would just be guessing. But from my understanding, you won't miss the cap due to those errors. But there's chance they may decline the application at a later date. But more likely they'd request more information.
