Frustrated? Miss your spouse? Vent Here!!

Long story made short. I was doing really well and didnt think of things turning bad. So decided to come up. I didnt do this right away because i started with a low paid job and didnt want to ruin the sponsorship because you never know how it will be. So waited a few months till I got a better...

Frustrated? Miss your spouse? Vent Here!!

Thanks, only once for my daughters birthday a year ago. We were there for 10 days only. It was nice but no enough. Thanks to all for your prayers.

Frustrated? Miss your spouse? Vent Here!!

Yes, they sure dont imagine how desperate one can get. I have a good job now in Canada, started from the bottom when I got here two years ago, now, the only thing I need to complete my happiness is have the other half of my family here also. My sons, need their mother and my daughter needs me...

Frustrated? Miss your spouse? Vent Here!!

Now imagine my case, married now for 18 years and 4 months. Lived abroad until two years ago when me and my two sons came up to Canada to settle and then bring wife and daughter. All 3 kids and me Canadian, wife Mexican. Last year tried to bring wife here for a couple of months to visit and then...

Well, I read that the hearing will be one day before the original date. It will be on Aug 21, which is better but still far away. My question is, what happens if they resolve in favor or against PASFO? Does anyone know? Is that the end of the strike or do things continue on still?

This is what I read: "ALSO, I BELIEVE THE STRIKE IS OVER NOW. CAUSE ONE OF OUR FAMILY FRIEND WHO IS ALSO SPONSORING HER HUSBAND TOLD THAT HER HUSBAND CALLED NDVO AND THEY SAID STRIKE IS OVER NOW AND SHOULD BE BACK TO NORMAL VERY SOON."

    Marriage is ending.

I think we are all being punished for going about things the 'right' way. We could have just gotten a travel visa for our spouse and waited it out together in Canada, without fear of separation. In retrospect, that may be what I would have done. By doing things the 'right' way, we have put our...

I think that you gave out some great information! Thank you so much for all the details!. I am one on the waiting list hoping to get my wife up here after a 2 year separation (over 18 years of marriage and 3 children). Now, the total strike. It is so devastating. I dont know what will happen. I...

This is not human. They dont care about anything. My daughter who is 6, will be 7 on Aug 16 wanted us to be together on her birthday. We are only waiting for them to ask for her passport. I want my family together. My 2 sons want their mother here. My daughter wants me. My wife and I need to be...

I posted this as a topic but maybe some of you have some ideas. We need to do something! I have read from others that we are just a file to them (Immigration) and that we all have a story and they dont care. It is so hard to believe this. They must have a family that they love and want to...

Can we do something? Any ideas?

I have read from others that we are just a file to them (Immigration) and that we all have a story and they dont care. It is so hard to believe this. They must have a family that they love and want to keep together. So do we!! They must have a heart. I have read many cases, just like mine and I...

I have done that. The MP emailed me back and says that everything is in revision and that due to the strike they cannot give a time to process. So I am just back as the beginning. All we have been doing is wait and wait. It is terrible.

We have done everything including the PGR letter and some aditional documents we had to refill. The only thing missing I think is that they tell her to send her passport. I want my daughter to start school here in Sept but the delay has been terrible. I pray everynight hoping that she gets a...

I think we all have big problems with all of this process. My wife sometimes looses the faith and says she will probably never come up here. I want to think positive and know that they have to answer soon. This is not just anything, these are peoples lifes, and so many depend on this process. I...

    Marriage is ending.

This is incredible. I am in the same situation. But, when I applied for a tourist visa for her last year, they denied it due to family ties. Well, YES, we have been married 18 1/2 years and have 3 kids, so no, she couldnt come for a visit. Now doing her PR sent everything, they received...

Thanks so much for your answer. Actually, we already sent the additional documents as well as the PGR letter and that was beginning of June. I did get my MP involved early today and they said that everything was in queue review but there is no aprox date due to the strike. So I am just hoping...
