Hi sid4ever2009 - also newly married (ok...newly re-married) dated LD for 6 years, 4 TRV refusals, hubby and I miss each other so much, EVERYTHING ACHES, long distance would not bite quite as much without the added torture of the immigration process.

Feeling your pain my brother and sending you and your wife my prayers for a speedy journey. Blessings.

I need to vent too... I miss my husband too ... It is been 5 months since I got sponsorship approval. Application received status... Medical received in may and nothing since then. I have a really good career and only 3 weeks vacation that I used this year going back to get married :-( need to wait until January again to get another 3 weeks! I'm just praying for something before end of year so I can enjoy vacation with hubby and not worry about waiting for process...

Government has no sympathy for broken hearts.

:( :( :( :( :( :(

I can't wait to start my life finally in the same city as my wife.

I don't miss that ache of missing that special one. I hope things work out for you all as soon as possible. It's unfair living apart from the one you love for such a long time!

Now imagine my case, married now for 18 years and 4 months. Lived abroad until two years ago when me and my two sons came up to Canada to settle and then bring wife and daughter. All 3 kids and me Canadian, wife Mexican. Last year tried to bring wife here for a couple of months to visit and then apply for PR. Visitor visa refused. Started PR process in November. Sent Sponsorship Dec, got approved Jan. Everything being processed for months and no answer. So we have been separated for 2 years already.
This is not fun at all! And then with the good luck of having a strike in the middle. I think, for those who have everything in the final stage, they should at least give the spouse a special permit to travel and wait for PR in Canada.
I understand each and one of you. This is so terrible, stressful and fustrating. I hope they go back to work soon. So many families apart.
Good luck to all of you.

Oh that's so sad :( yeah they don't even think about the people waiting everyday for the update of their status... Our situation is really hard, that's why the only thing we can do for now is to wait and pray. :) My husband will come back soon to Canada I'm sure that I'm going to miss him but I'm looking for the brighter side and that I know that everything happens for a reason. :)

Yes, they sure dont imagine how desperate one can get. I have a good job now in Canada, started from the bottom when I got here two years ago, now, the only thing I need to complete my happiness is have the other half of my family here also.
My sons, need their mother and my daughter needs me. They are growing and it can be a big trauma in their lives.
I pray for us and for everyone that is in this situation. God is good and will help us!

Take care and good luck!

It is a very hard situation that you and your family are in; being separated for so long must be horrible and I don't want to minimize that at all. But I'm wondering why you didn't apply for sponsorship while you were still in Mexico or just after you got to Canada?

If I can join in on this....

I MISS MY HUSBAND TOO! :-\ :-\ :-[

I pray everyday that it all just flies by and that he is here with me soon... God willing :(

I wish the same for you all, that we all reunite very soon! Patience pays off my good friends..

the last time me and my wife were together was the day I send her off to the airport for canada, it was august of 2008 which makes it five years to date. bills to pay, college expenses for our son which prevent us to set aside round trip ticket and pocket money for her vacation to phils.

Thanks, only once for my daughters birthday a year ago. We were there for 10 days only. It was nice but no enough. Thanks to all for your prayers.

Long story made short. I was doing really well and didnt think of things turning bad. So decided to come up. I didnt do this right away because i started with a low paid job and didnt want to ruin the sponsorship because you never know how it will be. So waited a few months till I got a better job and settled down better here. Sometimes things are not so easy to do. Now I am doing much better. Sponsorship was approved in a month. We are just waiting for the approval so I can bring them up, but, the strike.................

God bless you all!
