We got our passports back with visas on THU. We are glad this long journey is almost over! Best of luck to rest of all awaiting PPR.

Finally PPR! Our attorney just forwarded the email. They requested only the passports(no mention of photos) of all applicants with in 15 days. I don't see any thing related to in-person option in our passport request attachment/email (as mentioned by other members in this forum).

Also this extra line is now added to Client Application Status: Your application was reviewed and we started processing on October 24, 2013.

Today in CIC online status check page "Permanent Residence Application Status" is changed to "In-process" for us. Before it was "received by visa office". Not sure what to make out of this.

I always hated the idea of sending passports outside the country. I am actually thinking of going in person to Mexico City consulate if they can stamp it in a day or two (I already have a visa to enter Mexico). It's 4.5 hours flight from YYZ, costs around 600$.

Congrats jbaby! This is great news. Our application is also pending at Mexico Consulate. We did advanced medicals, set to expire this mid JUN 2013. Hopefully soon! This should clear up any confusion regarding Mexico city processing times for some pessimistic members here in this forum. :P
