My consultant e-mailed CPP-O when they changed the processing time from 15 months to 13, and told him that my file is already assigned to an officer and no further requirements is required from me as of that moment.

The same to me. Nearly one year after medical, still waiting

Congrats jbaby! This is great news. Our application is also pending at Mexico Consulate. We did advanced medicals, set to expire this mid JUN 2013. Hopefully soon!
This should clear up any confusion regarding Mexico city processing times for some pessimistic members here in this forum. :P

I am also still waiting to hear something from Ottawa.

when was your file sent to mexico vo?

Congrats, Jbaby,

Could you please describe what are those updated docs that they asked you to send (bank history statement, letter from employer, personal history, new forms)? And did anything changed since you applied (new employer, got married, etc)?

Thanks

Hello, our file was transferred on April 15 and nothing changed apart from our new born which we added while the file was still lying in Buffalo.

Updated forms include Schedule A and Additional Family Information, that's all.

Hope you will get some good news soon.

I am losing my patient. Now, its more than 36 months since first applied, 12 month since file transfered to Ottawa, 13 month since medical exam. No light shows up in this dark tunnel!!! The big question is when? The things I cannot understand that CIC said holding our files because economy and they announce the 24 job list that are in demand; my professional is one of these jobs + completed PhD here last month + I have now job and working on one of these job list. What CIC looking for more than this if they are truthfully. I can notfind any reason why CIC holding any file from MI1 , 2 or 3 if they have professional that falls in one of the list. Can any answer?
Sorry, but i feel all of the process is unfair. CIC has no rigid and sound information system to look to the existing applicants. CIC is also looking about they are taking new applicant I donot know why.
Hope the best for the all

Lot of pre june applicants just received their medical request this April or May. Our cases are moving forward, of course, at very slow speed. I am in the same boat as you. Did you write to them to ask about your case?

Hi guys,

After almost 3.5 years wait, I finally got it (refer to my earlier post for timeline).

On Apr 24, 2013 I received passport request in an email. On 26 I sent out to Canadian NY consulate (seems this is the office putting visa sticker for FSW). May 1 they received it and posted the visa on 3rd. Yet they waited till May 15 to send out the passport (by regular mail USPS). May 21 I received my passport and on 22nd I drove to the US-Canada board to land (you can actually call CIC and make an appoitment with the closest CIC office to land in their office if you are currently in Canada already, but I was told by them that the waiting period will be 1-3 months, and to land on the board you can do it right away).

I guess my application was one of those taking the longest time to process, so since I got mine, you should see yours pretty soon hopefully.

All the best!

Hi guys,

My application was approved by CIO in April 2010 and they instructed me to forward my application to Buffalo in May 2010.
I received my medical request in April 2012, togeter with additional documents.

I gathered everything and finished up the medical exam and sent them out in May 2012. Files transferred from Buffalo to Ottawa in July 2012. The most recent update I received, upon my representative's inquiry, was as follow:

"The file was updated on 22 Jan 2013. CIC received the documents that you submitted and is doing background checks."

My patience has just been killed by CIC's slow work, but still I keep checking my mail box everyday and hope for some letters from them. Anyhow, just wanted to share this and hope it's of some help.

PS: My CIC e-CAS has not been updated AT ALL since January 2012, so now it's still showing Buffalo Office started processing my case which is absolutely not the case, coz Ottawa is the one doing it.

Hello folks,

Is it true that they will intentionally delay your case if you make repeated inquiries about your status. Somebody told me and I am seeming it likely in my case. Please let me know your opinions.
Thanks in advance.

I won't say that they would do that intentionally, but imagine, if you request the status, they would need to wait till some one is available to look at your request, then give you an update, so that would probabely take some time. That way, you entire processing might be slowed down. However, I indeed read it some where they said repeated inquiries may slow down your case. Your timeline is somewhat similar to mine, and i just landed a few days ago, so I am assuming yours should be soon.
