Sounds like they went crazy with medical requests over the last few days.

    JULY 2019 *Inland* Spousal Sponsorship

I have a theory that they're close to meeting their quota for new PR's in 2019 and are slowing down a bit until January. Either that or they had a lot of applications for different types of visas/permits in June.

I've been told by my lawyer that I can keep the same SIN until my IEC expires in April, despite me being issued a new work permit as part of the PR application. She said that if my PR isn't issued by April then I can get my temporary one extended/renewed. If I get PR before April then I would...

My OWP was approved on November 1st. Now the long wait for the medical request to come through.

    JULY 2019 *Inland* Spousal Sponsorship

Looks like June applicants only started receiving medical requests towards the end of October, so maybe towards the end of November you might hear something.

Have they changed the time frames a bit? Seems like the medical is coming towards the end of the process now as opposed to the medical request being issued, and then there being a long wait for AIP/DM etc.

I'm on an IEC so my SIN is a temporary one. I'd assume that I'd need to get it updated when a new work permit is issued?

Is it normal for Inland applications on ECAS to show a table which has information about sponsoring someone living outside of Canada? When I go on ECAS via the sponsors details it has a link to a table with information linked to outland applications. It's just a table with the different...

I might be wrong but I think that he'll be reassessed when he returns to Canada. He'll probably need to provide proof that he has funds to support himself whilst he waits for the application to come through but again I'm not sure. I have a valid work permit and used that.

What's your current status in Canada? Do you have a work permit or are you in the country as a visitor?

    ****OCTOBER 2019 Inland Spousal Sponsorship****

Yeah you'll be fine for a couple of days. I went away to Spain with my girlfriend whilst we were waiting for AOR (for 9 days) and came back with no issues. Just make sure you have your paperwork in order to get back in. The only risk to leaving is that if you're denied entry back into Canada for...

****September 2019 - Inland Spousal PR + OWP****

Seems pretty normal. Our application was received August 21st and AOR didn't come through until October 4th (45 days after it was received).

Approved in Principle (AIP) and Decision Made (DM) takes place towards the end of the process and they're usually a good sign that you're nearing the end of the application process. The Landing Interview is where you go to collect your Confirmation of Permanent Residency at the very end of the...
