I might be wrong but from what I've seen, August applicants waiting on landing interviews in Alberta & BC are getting calls or letters/emails to confirm them as PR's. A couple in Ontario have received this but I've not seen anyone who is waiting on the Etobicoke or Mississauga receive anything...

I emailed our lawyer about landing interviews and they're being done by phone currently but there's not much happening at the moment.

Anyone else heard anything about landing interviews? Our application was approved (AIP, SA & DM) in early March and we're just waiting on something to happen with the interview now. Our application was received August 21st 2019.

No nothing. Had AIP, SA & DM March 10th and then confirmation that the interviews had been suspended for the time being. Nothing since but it's not a surprise given where we're at with Covid-19.

Any Toronto applicants from August received AIP/SA/DM? If so when was your application received? Just trying to figure out where that office is at. Mine was received August 21st so I'm probably a week or two away from hearing anything.

Might be they're a bit busier possibly?

Mine was received August 21st and I'm in the same boat but it's normal not to hear anything until this stage. Seems like you'll hear something in the next few days if yours was received on the 2nd. Good luck!

August AIP's starting to come through. Mine was received August 21st so if it's all good then hopefully I'll hear in the next 2/3 weeks,

My lawyer seemed to suggest that August applicants won't receive a request for Biometrics. Based on the spreadsheet I would expect to see some AIP's start to come through for us August people in the next couple of weeks.

What's your timeline/current status on your application?

I sent my OWP application off with my PR application so already have it, but we're on a similar time frame. My application was received August 21st and my medical was passed 25th December. Nothing else since that so I guess just waiting on the background check to start.

Weird how some of the September applications already have BGC's started. Still waiting on mine from the August lot but I'm doing it through a lawyer so maybe she hasn't told me yet ha!

An OWP means you can live/work in Canada legally until that work permit expires.
