You cannot use GC key if you have a rep. I think at one point it was possible but not anymore. You can use ECAS. The first letter has your UCI # input that, country of SA birth and SA birth year.

Correct. Many of the apps that were assigned to the case processing center in Mississauga have been hung up at eligibility and background since last March. And they keep on saying “Covid” meanwhile Ottawa is processing. It makes no sense.

What the heck? Did you receive a letter from IRCC communicating this? Or did you find out after calling in?

You may have to redo the forms too. They keep on updating them. If the form is out of date, they’ll return it back.

Both sides. To answer your other question, every case is unique. You could have two files sent exactly the same day and one could take 12 months other could take 8.

If they’ve approved you as a sponsor recently yes it’s a good sign. But the lengthy part of the process is with the applicant side. What visa office is your app with?

I’ve asked my MP’s rep this question (in nicer words LOL). She will be forwarding my question to IRCC. Hope I get some response.

Our rep has been reluctant as well. Then again our rep doesn’t believe CPC-M doesn’t process any apps for Indian spouses, nor the existence of Ottawa and has strongly advised not to believe the internet. I’ve reached out to the MP. They haven’t heard back from IRCC yet though. Am I sane - no...
