I agree, it just states that borders won't have the facility to read the chip until January 2016, doesn't mean they won't start issuing the cards.

I just spoke to a nice CIC agent who advised that I will not get my PR card before travelling back to the UK on December 15th as it hasn't been dispatched yet. He didn't advise anything about new photos. He's sending me details on how to get a travel document via the embassy in London >:(

Thanks for this, but a little worried as it states new photo specifications which means if they haven't already asked for a new photo you either aren't getting a new one or they haven't even started looking at issuing your card?

I am NOC 1242 - mainly because there isn't a NOC for my position but its what they gave me for my LMIA and closed work permit. I received my PPR for this NOC under CEC - score without bothering to do WES or anything 903 I think.

Mine was 11 days, but I think it can be anywhere between 5 days and 21 days depending on your case! Try calling them on Thursday to see if you can get an idea if its at least been approved, so you aren't anxiously waiting over the weekend.

You have 30 days to submit your passport and they should send it back within a couple of weeks. (or if you're from a visa exempt country you just need to send a copy of your bio page and any stamped pages).
