We got AOR2 in April 2021. Our application was received in August 2020.

I believe they do all the security and background checks after biometrics and medical. In fact, they keep doing that stuff long after they send you the Pre Arrival letter. So it makes sense that you don't see a DM right after submitting your medical. Unless you are talking about DM for SA, not PR.

No. I have no updates. I stopped looking at the CIC account and will wait for them to email me updates if there is any. The thing is that they have still not sent any emails to me for anything. The only emails from the start have been sent to my wife. Perhaps they will start emailing me from AOR2?

I think it leads to the same pages where you customize it by telling them what visa office your application is being processed at. This is what it says in the letter:
