Called CIC since its 6 months after submittal of my RQ docs. The lady at the other end promised to put a note in my file to say that the process is taking longer than expected and to give me some reply. If I don't hear from them for a month, I am to call them up and ask again.

Hi Jaroddz, Any update? I requested an ATIP last week and waitinf for the reply. My last atip stated they were checking my residency which was before they issued me an RQ. Hoping for a favorable reply. My 6 months will be up on 22 Oct since they recd my RQ docs.

Hi I lived and worked in Jeddah a long time ago. Was in Yanbu, Jubai, Abqaiq, Dammam etc. My advice to you would be go to a Canadian consulate or embassy in Jeddah and take their advice. I am sure they will get you out of there as you are a Canadian citizen and Saudi cannot stop you.

Hey Jaroddz long time bud. Did they ask you for CIT 0171 too? I thought you either get CIT 0520 (old rule) or CIT 0171 (new rule). Good to know there is some movement with your file. Hope you see the judge soon and get your oath. Any idea why you were held for residency?

After you respond to the RQ with CIT docs. if you don't receive any reply from IRCC for 6 months then you can contact them. My CIT 0520 docs were received by IRCC on April 22 and I haven't received any response from them yet. Will call them up on Oct 22 for a response.

Yes. Most of the credit card and bank statements can be downloaded from the banking website. The older statements have to be got from the bank directly.

Had approached my MP to enquire into my case. Got a reply saying have to wait as it is non routine. CIC says if I don't receive an answere before Oct 17 then I can contact them. I have 100 days more than the required 1095 days and I am RQd because of residency. All the other aspects of my file...

Applied March 2015. Non routine. CIT 0520 sent to CIC April 14 and recd by them on April 19.

The last time I requested ATIP, I was being investigated because of Residency requirement although I have 100 days more than the required 1099 days so I feel ordering ATIP is a waste of time. Waiting on MPs response.
