    Note that this is only for applications being processed in Canada. I called yesterday and they said they aren't legally allowed to access applications outside Canada and I had to send a webform or email to the office processing my application.

    What was the timeline for his refusal? I heard someone else get this exact same reason recently as well. I also applied for my spouses OWP along with my study permit. We are at day 92 and still waiting.

    SDS is processed in Canada and non-SDS in India. Not sure if non-SDS permits are updated at night or if it is just the SDS permits that get them during the Canadian hours.

    It could be, yes. The biometric confirmation letter comes anywhere from seconds to a week before your final decision. If you haven't had the medical request yet, then it is likely a refusal. I hope I am wrong.

    I've also done the same. It is possible for your spouse to get rejected and you to get accepted, but it is not possible the other way around. The spousal visa is dependent on your visa. Although most are either accepted or refused together.
