    Proof of PR application

Copies of your receipt should probably suffice. If you get the parcel signed for when you send it you could use that as well might be a bit overkill though!

    Updating work/employment information

No I wouldn't worry about it, you have sponsor approval anyway and there is no financial requirement for sponsorship. Both myself and my wife who was my sponsor had changes in employment during the process but we never updated CIC.

establishing common law + what to say at the border

Unfortunately nobody can really give you a guarantee as it is completely dependent on the CBSA agent who deals with you. Its a shame you don't have any of the ties you mentioned as they can assist someone with transit through the border so you probably want to be prepared for the possibility of...

Based on current processing times remaining the same probably not. :( But if Ottawa pick up the pace as they did last year it might be an outside shot, you just can never tell with this office.

Check out the Ottawa spreadsheet but average at the moment is probably between 8-10 months. For everyone stressing about the increase I wouldn't overly worry it was 16 months when we applied last year then Ottawa went into overdrive last summer/autumn where some applicants were being processed...

    8 photos

She needs to ensure that the photos meet the specifications stipulated in the country specific guide. For Russian applicants it can be found in appendix B. It sounds like she has got photos from a booth rather than a photographer. The dimensions are very specific and as far as I am aware they...

    outside of Canada help

When you say months how long exactly? When we applied for our daughter they advised it could take up to 14 months - although it only took 4.

I have mailed my sponsorship application (spouse sponsorship), what's next?

As Canuck said welcome to the waiting game. Just in addition to the above info.... Once your wife receives SA you will most likely get an email confirming this and what office is processing your part of the application. The email will include the UCI number and file number which will allow you...

    CPP-Ottawa

Yeah in the email they said we could sent to Ottawa (which wasn't happening given our experiences with Canada Post!) or London as we are based in UK. One of photos is attached to one of the copies of the COPR (I believe CBSA keep this copy on landing) when you receive it.

They have done for those being approved recently although not sure if they have been doing it for US applicants as well.... but yes 2 extra photos we had to send. Although we were processed in Ottawa we could send the info to London who issued the COPR. It was pretty quick from DM only couple weeks.

Yeah you either get the dreaded email saying they need extra info or one saying its in the final states of processing. As we are residing in the UK they asked for copy of the passport, extra photos (one of which is attached to one copy of the COPR - you get two copies) and some updated info.

Permanent residency request sent by CIC to London instead of Paris office

The good news is processing time at London is not 29 months. Last year due to a backlog of cases in Islamabad they were transferred to the London office. Many of them had been already in processing for over 18 months, hence when London calculated their average wait time for PR applicants they...

    Spouse in Canada, sponsor PR

If she is returning back to India then you would have to use the outland application package. Inland is only for those where the applicant is resident in Canada with the sponsor. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'the entire application could be sent outland'? All applications both inland...

    Option C, proof of employment/income - Japan

Welcome to the forum :D You are correct there is no income requirement to sponsor however, CIC would like to know that you will be able to support your spouse when you move back to Canada hence the information about employment/income. Option C also gives them information about whether a...

Be proactive, Please sign this petition.

But as I said in order for performance to be increased the funding needs to be increased and extra staff and resources available to CIC, therefore back to my original argument, its not a priority for the Canadian government in the current economic climate.

Look I know its frustrating waiting endlessly for PR apps but the bottom line is there is far more socio-economic factors at work and several posters have highlighted a lot of the issues that make applications take longer than others. No one size fits all for PR applications each one is unique...

NEED URGENT HLP FROM SENIOR MEMBERS!!

I'll have to leave that decision up to you however, it would seem from what you said that any officer looking at your application will see that you have stated you were a student up until you left the UK but at the same time you were asked to leave the UK. They officer processing your...

NEED URGENT HLP FROM SENIOR MEMBERS!!

I presume you must have altered the facts for both questions 7&8 of IMM5669 as you claimed you were a student the whole period you were in the UK? Also were you ordered to leave the UK as this is asked in question 6e of IMM5669? if you have not been truthful in all these questions or have been...
