Thanks Sept24. I have been in touch with my MP over the last few months. Last week, she tried to contact them again for an update, but they have not responded. She tried again with "SECOND REQUEST" in the subject line, and still has not heard back. I'll talk to her again tomorrow, and tell her...

Okay, so I ordered GCMS notes on April 10th, and finally got them today. (Looks like if these people have 30 days, they will wait till the very end to send it.) I found out a few things. Good news first: Everything regarding our relationship seems to be in order. It says they reviewed our...

Hey veterans of this site, Been reading all the posts, and it sounds like after the sponsorship approval, when the file is sent to NDVO, the NDVO issues an "Acknowledgement of Receipt." Is this true for everyone here? The last correspondence I got was dated November 14, 2012, and it said that...

    New Delhi - 2012 applicants

I applied on October 17 2012, and the sponsorship was approved in Nov 2012. I got a letter notifying me of sponsorship approval, and that the file is being sent to New Delhi (Nov 14, 2012). This was the last communication I received regarding my case. I never received a letter from the NDVO...

Hi ragi, I would say do not hesitate to contact your MP - it should not delay the case. In my experience, NDVO is much faster and open to responding to an inquiry from an MP than one from the applicant or consultant. In my case, they replied to MP inquiry the very next day. You should approach...

Also, if you want to request GCMS notes, but are not living in Canada, there are agencies that do it for you. Here is one example: http://www.caips.ca/ Just to note: I am not endorsing these guys. I have not used them, or personally know anybody that has used them. I think someone on this forum...

Hi Sally, Here is the link for requesting GCMS notes: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp - Easiest and quickest way is to go through the first link on there for "Online Request" - All you need is that someone from Canada must do it - so you or your spouse, whoever...

I'm in a similar situation as you v_sys. Just waiting on GCMS notes now, so atleast we can know what's going on with our file. I too am visiting my wife, since there is no indication whatsoever about how much longer this wait can go on. Booked my tickets for the end of May... it's her bday too...

I was wondering about too. Also, since I went through an agency, the "current mailing address" on the application was the agency's address in Canada. My wife's address in India is also given, as the "residential address". Should I take any extra steps or will they automatically use the Indian...

I had noticed this but it was about 2 months ago, when they were doing an online system updates or overhaul. For a couple days, the ECAS status was inaccessible, and when it resumed service, the sponsor side changed from Decision Made to Application Received. Then a couple days later, it changed...
