    1) Look under CORRESPONDENCE. In my GCMS notes, this section starts on page 11 (yours may vary). Outgoing communication. Has Created Date, Created Office, "Document Type: Acknowledgement of Receipt", Status: Sent, Due date, etc. Then there will be a sub-section - ITEMS REQUESTED: 1. "Item...

I am in the same situation as nabagataa. They sent PPR for me in Feb 2013, but we didn't receive the email. I only found out in May, when I got my GCMS notes. I mailed them my passport on June 18th, with cover letter, etc. Nothing since then. maverick.dexter, Thanks!

Thanks for sharing that. Positive stories like these are what we need in this time of frustration. +1 to you :)

That is wonderful news my friend! Congrats! Looking through gurnam21's posts, it looks like there's a very good chance they will issue your visa immediately, and you will get your passport back in a week or so. We have very similar timelines, so this makes me very hopeful! There are others in...

Nabagataa, Did you hear anything back from your MP's office? What did they advise?

    1. I was in the same situation as you. They sent AOR and PPR, but I didn't receive it. I requested them to re-send it several times - via emails, in a case-specific enquiry, through my MP, and through my consu ltant. Got no response whatsoever. Finally, I sent the passport in by courier. There's...

If you go through the online request in that provided link, you will only need to attach the consent form (IMM 5744) signed by the applicant in India. If you have a mailing address in Canada, then you're good to go. Otherwise you will need to submit proof of residence in Canada. Go through that...

@ everyone who's saying their medicals are about to expire... In my GCMS notes, under medical, it says passed. In this case, does it still matter if the medical expires? They've already used the medical and said the applicant passed it... so why would they need it to be valid still?

Wow, that's strange. From other forum members' experience, going to CHC-ND hasn't worked. They apparently don't entertain anyone regarding immigration case matters. That email is also weird. It's a big thing that they responded to your email in the first place. They have not responded to...

I have been warned the same by others. However, we know from GCMS notes that they did send the letter already. Clearly, from the experience of several forum members, trying to contact them regarding this, asking for re-issuing the letter hasn't done anything. NDVO obviously doesn't care if our...

Yes, I am in the same situation. I found out on May 9th via GCMS notes that the PPR was sent on April 9th but not received, and all the same stuff you saw in your GCMS notes. Then I sent emails to NDVO with "URGENT" subject line, requesting them to re-send PPR to a different email address, or by...

Yes, my experience with my area MP was also really good. The first time we requested MP to make an inquiry on our behalf, they did so promptly, and NDVO replied within 1 or 2 days. However, that was back in March. But this time, in May when we asked them to do another inquiry due to the missed...

Hey nabagataa, What was the reason you didn't get the PPR email? Was your email address given incorrectly in the application? Did they mess up the email address?

I don't recall... were there any complications in your case? Travel history? If not, then I don't think there's anything you can do but wait. There are others on this forum whose passports have been with NDVO longer. Seeing that they asked for your passport and you sent it, things seem to be on...

The walk-out part of the strike didn't start until 2013 June. If you applied in 2012 Dec, you should have received PPR by now. Apply for your GCMS notes - that will tell you if there's an issue. It's possible that NDVO sent the PPR but you didn't receive it (incorrect email, or some such reason).
