Hey n4dpatel, I honestly don't understand why your lawyer wants to wait to request for GCMS notes. Requesting these notes does not affect your case at all. This request does not go to New Delhi. It's just people in Ottawa who will open your electronic file, print the whole thing out and send...

@ n4dpatel and nabagataa Did you guys request GCMS notes yet? From what I've seen so far on the forum, almost everyone has been getting their PPRs within 2-3 months of the application being transferred from Canada to NDVO. Those who did not either had some complication in their application, or...

Thanks Muksi. Our relationship has been assessed as genuine, and interview waiver is recommended. However, security and criminality checks are still pending (as of 2013 April 09) as per GCMS notes. My wife called the VFS (Visa Facilitating Service) office in Mumbai. These are the people you go...

To whoever is now updating the spreadsheet: Please indicate the following regarding my case: PPR sent on Feb 9, 2013. In the notes column, please add: PPR sent on Feb 9, 2013 was not received by client. Awaiting re-sending of PPR. Thanks!

Yes, that's what I understand too. There is a note that says among other things: The eligibility has only been "recommended passed" - it seems the final decision is still remaining on it. The PPR email from them bounced, so I'm still waiting for them to re-send it. I sent them a couple of...

There is no "due date" anywhere on the first page. By the bottom of the second page, there is an area under Application Assignment, where there are fields Assigned to, Assigned by, and Due Date. All three fields are empty. I don't think this is it. Farther down, under Eligibility Assessment...

No, as far as I can tell, they don't mention the BFDs. I am just judging by the dates that there has been activity. They seem to be putting a 1-month BFD on there, hence the activity on Feb 9, then March 9, and then April 9. My GCMS was printed on April 15th, and showed last activity on April...

No update from NDVO thus far. From the GCMS, I noticed that all the notes and activities have happened on the 9th day of the month (Feb 9th, April 9th, etc.) So I have a feeling that on June 9th or so, they will open my file again, and see the emails and communication I have sent to them, and...

My wife (in India) tried calling NDVO. But it was a recorded message that told her if her file is already with NDVO, the only way to contact them to provide info is via email.

You might have to go to the MP's office and get the form. I went to see my MP even before I got married, to let her know that I might need her help in this process. She gave me the consent form (hard copy) that her office uses. Otherwise... Here is the consent form used when requesting GCMS...

Thanks Muksi. However, PCC is something you can send along with your application - they don't have to ask for it. Also, if they lose or don't receive your PCC, you can always get another one. Passport is a lot more problematic if lost. That's why I'm very wary of sending it just like that.

Hi folks, I see that there are a few people in my situation, which is: Received GCMS notes, and it shows NDVO sent PPR to incorrect email, or for some reason, we did not receive the PPR email. In my case, I emailed them immediately with "URGENT: Incorrect contact email address. Please re-send...

Did you request GCMS notes yet? I applied slightly before you, and this is an inordinately long time for them to not send anything. When I got my GCMS notes last week, I found out that they had sent PPR in February, but to wrong email address! If you haven't done so, request GCMS notes - you...

Hi IndCan, I am in the same boat. We found out in GCMS notes (received last week), that they sent PPR to wrong email address in early Feb 2013. We sent them an email with "URGENT: Contact email incorrect. Resend Passport request" in the subject line. We also have our MP inquiring as well as our...

Sally, What is your reasoning for waiting? The way I see it, there is no disadvantage in requesting your GCMS file. It takes almost 30 days to get it, so the longer you wait, the longer it will take to get any information. If you get news from NDVO in May, then worst case, the GCMS won't tell...

Thanks for the advice, Muksi. I've sent them an email myself, and I told my representative and my MP. They said they have sent in communication to NDVO/CHC as well. I think I'll wait a few days, and try calling CHC-ND. If there is no response with all that in a few days, then I will likely send...

Hi Kimmy, YES, it is completely okay to request your GCMS. It wouldn't affect the process that happens in India, and if you haven't received any communication whatsoever in 5 months, then there's a chance that some communication was lost. Through GCMS, you can find out what has happened with...
