The CIC is trying to optimize the processing speed and want to utilize the visa office where there is more resources. That is why they no longer provide average processing time based on visa offices.

Looks like these letters are sent out in bulk too.. I see a pattern of many people getting a letter in one day and the be quite for a while. Hope I make it to the next email group of approved :)

I'm not sure where you guys find that NOA or Option C, it was Option C mandatory for the 2014, it may have changed later. I clearly remember waiting for option C as it was the only option given then.

Dude, I'm a 2014 applicant too, so if you are addressing me as well then? but I don't agree with you and not many agrees, if the complaints are fair then let it be. Forum is a place where we help each other, not pull each other down.

I don't see any unfair things happening. The 2011 applications were started processing more than a year ago. And if you notice the processing time status it says all the applicants prior to the pause have been already contacted. (Before it was in much detail now, it only shows being processed.)...

Everyone who made it within the 5000 cap should be receiving a receipt of application at some point. And I hope that will be received pretty soon though our applications will be in the queue after the existing backlog. Anyone know how many existing applications in queue?

But the cap reached now (Announced on Feb 3). It will re open again next year Jan 2. Seems Apps before 21st Jan managed to sneak in. Hope for the best if you haven't heard anything from CIC yet.
