So, just keeping my fingers crossed that they will have openings fast! Or I may need to drive out of town for it. Hope your situation clears...

That's wonderful to hear! My hubby and I have been putting all travel plans out of the country on hold and it has been terrible. Finding places to travel to in Canada have not been as exciting. But hopefully, it will all change soon and CIC will speed up the process! :)

Yes, a one year visitor visa. Nope, it states that it is not for re-entry hence I am worried that they will take it away shd I come in again. The thing is that my old work visas all had the same phrase but I always get to keep it coming in and out of Canada. Hence, I got confused.I don't need a...

Hi all, Just wondering what the timeline is with applying through the Singapore office. On the website it seems to be 26 months after sponsor approval. But on here, it seems a lot shorter. Can someone fill me in on the average timeline? I am originally from Singapore and moved to Canada last...

Same situation here! That's my worry as well since I need that vistor extension in order to maintain my drivers here. I used to hold a work permit here and managed to get in and out of Canada with no issue but the visitors visa is kind of puzzling. Do let me know if you figure it out! :)

Ok! On a total different topic! TAX RETURNS... Does anyone knows whether the Canadian spouse should be filing as single or married? Basically, we got married last October, and I moved over in Oct 2012. Applied for PR only in 2013. So, I do not fulfil the 183 days residence rule. However, I...

Hi all, What does it say on your AOR? And what is stated when you log into CIC's website? Basically, I never received an AOR despite sending in my application which is received Feb 9th (what it says on CanadaPost tracking at least). I got curious so I decided to try logging in with my UCI...

Icic. Alright, still waiting for that to come... Do they mail it or is it by email? I have a previous UCI number, so, will they still email me a new one? Thanks!! The waiting process is definitely better than the form filling process, but nonetheless, still as daunting! LOL!

Application mailed out on Feb 6th, and reached CIC on Feb 9th. Keeping my fingers crossed now. :) One question I have though, did anyone try to convert their international license for the provincial drivers license?
