yes, medicals were correctly sent to a local medical office... my medicals were also send to a local medical office and case is in Ottawa...

it's your choice... physical file gives more info... but it might cause a delay because the file will be send to Ottawa to make a copy... electronic file gives less info... but it is enough to check if medicals are passed and criminality checks has started or completed...

my guess is that a good chunk of it are sponsors without enough funds that asked to forward their application to LVO in case if they are not approved... yes, the office where your case is...

well... according to sponsorourparents.org the approval rate is about 82% (varies from 50% to 100% from office to office) for parents/grandparents applications...

i think there might be different reasons for rejection - not only medicals... some people choose the option to send the application to LVO even if they do not meet financial requirements as a sponsor - these cases are automatically rejected...

that is true - they are not making a decision... but decision is based in the information that they provide... i just meant that DMPs usually tell if they think that everything looks OK or there is a concern... so you expect additional tests or something bad from the medical office if DMP says...

yes - GCMS notes provide info if medicals passed or not... for example my father's status for medicals says: Passed and Description says: No health impairment sufficient to prevent admission for medical reasons under Section 38 (1) (a) i havn't heard about people at this thread that were...

i guess you are right... but i believe that if it's that bad then a doctor would have told about it and it can not be unexpected... getting GCMS notes will take a month... it will show if medicals are passed or not...

it makes sence... you just mentioned that CIC started criminality with the medical request in your case... in my case CIC did not start criminality with medicals...

yes i actually think that In Process is somehow related to start/end of security/criminality checks... but it's just a guess...

i think it's a combination of #2 and #3 my understanding is that CPP-O does medicals frist and then starts security/criminality... so the status will not change into In Process until medicals are completed...

i though that status changes to In Process in about a month after Medicals received... but not sure... mine is still Application received...

you can try to explain to the doctor that now cic is sending forms via e-mail and they do not have a stamp... or you can try to contact another doctor who is familiar with new cic forms...

i believe that F means Family... my guess is that your case is in Bucharest - Ottawa is only a pilot project and some cases were moved there after November 2011 change... all parents' cases before November 2011 were forwarded to LVOs... i believe that 'Medicals received' means that medical...

usually if additional test are requested the status does not change to Medicals received... i believe that status changes to Medicals received when Visa Office (LVO or Ottawa) has received your Medicals after review by the Medical office (regional or Ottawa)
