I checked my ecas and found out that when i click on Application received link there is a new phrase "Dependents listed on the application are...". Does anybody have the same message?

I am just referring to official publications by CIC. I posted a link to OB353 above. The thing is that procedures have been changed on July 18, 2011. Before July 18, 2011 applicants first submitted only sponsorship forms. And then if it's approved, applicants were asked to submit PR forms...

From what i read at the thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t316460.0.html most people who received doc update request applied before July 2011 and for those who applied between May - November 2011 there were no mentioning that they need to fill undertaking...

CIC updated processing time page for PGP. Now sponsor assessment has been reduced to 45 months from 50 months. Given the fact that for the updated PGP we sent both pr and sponsorship application together and CIC is not going to request new pr forms, the entire process may become even faster...

I just received the same e-mail from CIC saying I am in 5000 an hour ago.

Processing times have been updated for PGP on cic website. Now it is 46 months for assessment of sponsor only - so it keeps growing. Is that what they call reduced backlog and faster family reunification ?! http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

Did you mention each other in your applications for PR/Visa? There are questions on marital status/common law. No problems if all your declarations were consistent. Things get easier if you get married officially in Canada and apply - no need to proof common law, 1 year of cohabitation etc.

You can get married in Canada when you arrive on your student visa. And once you get your marriage certificate you can apply for spousal sponsorship. A friend of mine did exactly the same way in Quebec and got his PR. Just be consistent in answering application questions about when your...
