Congratz on getting medical. Your VFS status will only change when your Passport comes back from the embassy. Before that you will receive your Letter Of Introduction from embassy informing you if your visa has been approved.

Whoever is sponsoring you will need to show atleast one year of tution fees + living expenses in their bank account and proof that they are financially capable enough to support you for your entire stay in Canada.

The e-mail you received from CIC having the attachment which read that "Your application to study or work in Canada has been approved" is the LOI it also has the permit validity mentioned on it .

By the way some Universities have requirements of paying the fees in advance so make sure by contacting your Uni that if you will need to pay your tuition fees in advance.

I applied without paying any fees and you can see the result in my timeline :)

No you won't face any problem in deferring after visa. My visa is validated till Dec 2016 so till then I don't have to worry of renewal. I can't say for sure some say we will get 3years but on CIC site it says a little different http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-postgrad-who.asp

It shouldn't be a problem if you explain what you have been doing in this gap in your SOP. I have seen people on this forum with 12year gaps after study get visa. You should right a strong SOP that will do the job.

Its really strange that those who applied in November are still waiting Its like a sin to apply in November. :( Ins'Allah all of those who are waiting will hear from CIC soon.

Its better to ask the University itself if you are eligible. Find a program you are interested in and mail the concerned department in the University I am sure they will help you out. That's how I did it.

How did you guys applied, through Courier, VAC or online?

hmm...can't really say. Its average i believe it would have been better if you had higher score in atleast 2 of the modules. Ask others too.

I just logged into my CAQ account and downloaded the file without any problem but I noticed that when i use a download manager it doesn't downloads properly.
