It doesnt mean nobody tried, If you are getting admission in very reputed college then it will be easier for you to get visa assuming you have good profile also. otherwise risk factor is there. there is no thumb rule

use makemytrip. yaatra . com type websites.......figure out those rates... and go to a respective website of flight and check rates of same flight.... wherever you get cheaper ticket, book :D

You can make an affidavit. that shld say your old name with mistake and present name are same. and submit that affidavit with application.

Adding SOP is a plus point to your application so that you can convince VO. Have a safer side always.

In my personal experience, if you are comfortable to book online then go for it because there will be few discount coupans + credit card offers etc. If you will book through agent then you have to pay his fees also. so ultimately there wont be any huge difference but atleast we can save few...

I am worried about your course selection. You may get rejection with reason "Course mismatch" Your previous study is Commerce and now IT. I always heard that in US that is the freedom to choose any stream after any course but why canada is denying such visa application I dont know. They feel...
