we have anaother link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/id/name/gcms.asp which says leave first name blank and put everything in surname. one thing is sure that everything has to be put in surname but first name should be left blank or n/a or not applicable is not clear

for WES and IELTS. IN both cases , i wrote to them regarding this no surname issue. in both cases, i was advised to use fullstop(.) or hyphen(-) as surname.

As per CIC ,"Master's degree, or professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession" get u same scores. However,ifu seethe wording "needed to practice in a licensed profession" is linked to professional degrees like CA, CPA ect and not "Master's degree" So ur equivalency should be...
