It might be a good idea to call and see when you could get an appointment for a med in case they are booked up for quite awhile, and see if you can book an appointment for say July 20 -23 or something.. That way you can save the money on the exam in case CIC has a decision coming for you soon...

If it was me I'd get a return flight as it just provides more insurance that a border agent will let you through without issue than with a one way. Trying to save money even if funds were tight is not a good gamble imo, as you could end up missing out on all your plans and time with your loved...

Yes the costs of all this can add up. Fee's, med exam, criminal check with prints, mailing costs, notary costs if applicable, paper, printer ink etc etc.. You can elect to do the med exam at a later date if you want although imo sending in a 100% complete application is the best way to go to...

Just went to the mailbox and low and behold my wife's COPR was there.. Only 8 days after online status changed to DM! No mistakes on the COPR at all, so I guess we are almost done! Whew! 8)

Your COPR will be sent to whatever mailing address is indicated for the principle applicant.. In our case my wife's mailing address is my address in Canada, so it will/should be sent here 8)

Hey Ravcat, Our status also changed to DM on June 2 and no email for us either.. It's usually how it seems to go with CIC if there were no problems with an application. You go from Application Received to IP or DM, and then some days later COPR shows up in your mailbox. Now we just have to wait...

Yes you can update all that info once you are here.. Use your Canadian address as your wife's "mailing address" on the forms now if you can so that any documents will go there instead of back in the UK, much easier. Use email as your preferred method of correspondence rather than old school mail..
