Does anyone know how long it takes to get a decision made after they keep your passport? They say up to a month, but it has to be sooner than that?! Please help!

Ok! Because we got a new police check September and they mailed it from the police station and also they requested the original be brought along with passport. I'm just hoping that won't delay the possibility of getting visa on spot!

Ok I see. So they needed additional things from you before the interview? Just wondering cuz my grandparents are coming from provinces away and I'm hoping he will get visa on spot cuz they are on their way here now if he doesn't they likely won't seee him :(
