They are now not reopening until Wednesday. Their FB page posted this yesterday:

Due to the impending path of Hurricane Matthew, the offices of the High Commission of Canada in Jamaica, and the Consulate of Canada in Montego Bay, will remain closed on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
Our offices will reopen on Wednesday,October 5, 2016, unless further advised.
For Consular assistance, Canadians can contact the Emergency Service Centre in Ottawa by dialling: 00-1-800-514-0129; +1-613-996-8885; or by email:sos@international.gc.ca

There have been no other posts since this one so I assuming that this is the latest news

If im not mistaken, I think someone who posted here a while back has an interview tomorrow? Hopefully most of Matthew has passed, everyone is safe/sound and their offices will be getting back on track with the files.

Don't remember who had the interview, but best of luck to you and those preparing (ours is next week), all the best and let us know how it goes if you feel inclined to do so!

Thank you! Next week is the week! Scary! And exciting!

Ours is next week as well. My husband was actually here on a TRV and had to go back for the interview and to get an updated police clearance record. He went back right before the storm warning so it was not great timing. Hoping everyone gets thru soon and good luck to the others this week and next. I can't wait for this process to be over with finally.

Good luck this coming week! So exciting this process is almost over!

Best of luck to everyone with interviews approaching! :) Cannot wait to hear all the good news to follow...

I was wondering, if anyone knows...

My husband says that when he got a criminal record check Oct 2015 in Jamaica for his work, they offered him the option of an international one.

I know that one of the requirements for our app, is a check for all countries he's lived in for more than 6 months. For him, this would include, Jamaica, Canada and the US. We tried looking online for the international one he says is offered in Jamaica, but couldn't find any info on it.

Does anyone know anything about this? What the cost is, or if it would be sufficient in lieu of getting separate ones from all three countries?
