I sent my passport off on 23-Jan-2014 Got to Ottawa on 27-Jan-2014 Return tracker activated 29-Jan-2014 I'll let you know when it turns up in my letter box.

I sent mine off last Thursday and it got to Ottawa Monday this week. Just checked Xpresspost tracker and my return envelop is on its way back - got posted on the 29th. So For me about 10 days from end to end.

I was so excited writing the labels out I wasn't thinking straight, but all good.

What I did was, I got an A4 size Xpresspost envelop in which I put the letter, my passport and a smaller envelop (a size my passport would fit in it) address back to me and sent it like that. I messed up, I addressed both envelops from me to the the CIC. The post office guys had a sticky label...

Nice one. Now get the passport sent off.

For me it was about 4 months, but everyone's time line is different.

Can't stop checking the tracking on xpresspost site to if the return number has been activated - its only been 4 days lol

Looks like its back up and running, but its a bit slow. My status is now 'Decision Made'

Just got an email asking for passport, which I'll be sending off today. The question, like so many at this point (and I know time lines are different) how long from PPR to PR?

I've asked this question and got the answer of, the new employer would have to apply for a new PNP for you e.g. you can't transfer your PNP work permit. You could phone the PNP people as they are good to talk to, well the BC ones are.

The only way I know of getting an open work permit is 4 months before your PNP is due to run out. You can apply for a bridging visa that is an open work permit.

I've stopped checking my on line status now. I know it changed to In Process Oct 28th and no matter how many times I log in and change it wont speed anything up. Just going to sit back and try and forget about until I get the email from my lawyer.
