How long after you submitted the requested documents did your background check change to in progress?

Not necessarily. I've been questioned (although not in secondary) several times when crossing the border both when we were dating and even now being married. Whether you're married or not, they're concerned about you breaking the rules.

My husband and I both have Nexus so once my background changes to in progress I'll keep you all updated!

My husband's says "provided" after he uploaded the additional documents that they requested. In MyCIC there was a spot to upload the documents, then he had to electronically sign them and after submitting, it automatically changed to "provided"

For the documents you uploaded, were you requested them in a letter that said to "reply to this e-mail" ??? I was asked for additional documents and the letter said to reply to the e-mail with the scanned additional documents but it came in the form of a message in MyCIC, not as an e-mail...
