All you can do is send the letter asap by mail and also call them right away (call center can make a note on your file but i would still send the letter as well) . In person is usually not accepted. If letter is post marked today , thats what typically counts but dont delay.

No they typically don't give oath dates as quite likely you are not yet scheduled for it, they will ask you to wait for the letter. I have heard of folks waiting for 2 to 3 months after DM for oath letter.
