Will Immigration Canada Accept This Shadow On PR Photo?

Just get a new photo if you are concerned. The cost and time of a rejected application far outweighs the minor inconvenience of getting a new photo.

Questions about sponsoring a baby born outside Canada

You will need to apply via Outland Sponsorship for both your child and husband. There is no wait time before you can begin your application after your wedding or baby's birth. As a PR, you do not confer any citizenship status to your child. There are many guidelines on the CIC website. You...

So.... We finally got asked for a medical. April 2017 AOR. After we sent in SchA back in June 2017, we heard nothing. I guess they are either batching these requests or we are really close! Trying to stay positive.

Just checking in. Absolutely no update since they sent a confirmation that our PCC and Schedule A was received. That was back in late May. Nearly 4 months without a peep out of IRCC which seems to be the norm. The first month drove us crazy. But since spouse has an OWP in-hand, we are...

I've always thought that the eligibility and background checks happen simultaneously? Have you called IRCC for an update? edit: my mistake. I just looked at our file. It is showing that background check is in progress and haven't started eligibility review. Not sure what is the difference...

Six months after the 'new kit' was introduced - Discussion

I think this is the intent of the change. The majority of applicants will not have red flags, and are not from 'difficult' countries as you put them. So while those folks requiring clarification or are from countries that require a little extra due diligence which will take a longer time, the...

That's it. For OWP, it really is very simple. We submitted in March and it was three or four pages long but only two small sections were applicable to us. Looking at the forms it is dated April 2017. They have simplified it even more to be only two pages!

No. The sponsor doesn't need to submit a birth certificate. It will be all family members that are part of the PR application. ie: children or other dependents. I think that form is also used on other types of PR applications so it is worded in the most general sense possible.

We did both to be on the safe side. Since we never got the original request for documents, we uploaded by CSE webform and posted hardcopies by mail. We actually got certified copies done by a lawyer to send with the Sch A in the mail since we wanted to hold onto the originals in case something...

Please help -- how to add newborn after PPR request???

For my daughter, we were able to get her citizenship and passport turned around in 6 weeks. 1 month for citizenship application, 1 week for passport. If your son was born June 2016, then you definitely should have included him in your application. But if it was June 2017, I do not know...

You can open joint bank accounts with her as you are a Canadian citizen. Same with utilities. Depending on your province, you may also be allowed to exchange an out of country license for a Canadian one. These will all show that you are living together.
