I'm not TOO concerned since there is another one saying In Process, but i'll probably have to suffer calling the CIC call center

ECAS shows "Application Withdrawn" and one next to it saying 'In process"

Has anyone ever seen this before? I noticed the second "Application received" last month, but didn't think much of it. However, this morning, one of the applications says: Withdrawn We received your application for permanent residence on June 13, 2012. We started processing your...

Changing from Conjugal Partner to Spouse

No, i got married during my application process and what you have to do is e-mail them asap after your wedding, telling them you and your spouse got married. (include a few pictures of the ceremony for good measures) Then they will ask you for your marriage certificate, so as soon as you get...

That's what i mean, if the MP calls, they HAVE to pick up your file for a status report. That's usually when they find out "OOps, we messed up" and Vienna fixes your file. However, they cannot speed things up or give you information on your case unless there is something wrong.

    VIENNA OFFICE

MP's can't really do anything until Vienna does something wrong. The only thing they can "do" is that Vienna is obliged to answer their e-mail. This means that they might get the answer "File is still in process within estimated time" and that will be the end of your MP's "power".

What happens when you get your approval?

Dutch people (and other visa exempt countries) don't get a passport request.

    Love or Opportunity? Coffee Social

Posts like this could really hurt the reputation of the forum. No matter how much fun it is to make fun of the shady cases, without context, it could go south

    Love or Opportunity? Coffee Social

It's not about being serious. You cannot expect a newcomer to go through 60 pages of this thread to pick up the subtlety in the jokes. However, a legit newcomer might come in, see the last few pages and leave the whole forum because of the sentiment in this thread (being always on top). This...

    Love or Opportunity? Coffee Social

I don't think deliberately lying to "bad cases" is a good idea. Just tell them their cases are going to be red flags. Telling them everything is going to be OK is just going to add to the waiting times of legit couples. Also, although this started out socially and nice, it is quickly turning...

    A strain on your relationship?

It's common. Making it through this as a couple is a good indicator you'll be fine later on though. I can't imagine any other situation that gives a relationship a bigger beating than this. (Disclaimer: Once you are together, you are still gonna argue over things)

Give up PR, reapply later under Family Class

I agree, with a PR you can work ANYWHERE you want. I came here with 0 Canadian working experience on a open work visa and was willing to work anywhere, just to be with my wife. If i wouldn't have been satisfied and go back to my home country to make "more money" you are not a family class...
