I think it's just so that they don't end up with 3 draws in November. As simple as that. I have a feeling it's gonna happen this Friday instead. That way 2 draws each in Oct and Nov.

For the May 6 draw, it was also the first draw of the quarter where they decided to send out less invitations. That caused the jump in points, not the 2 day difference.
