You may like to order CAIPS/GCMS as soon as possible to prepare your appeal (God Forbids) since CAIPS notes are taking months to be issued and appeal process generally has a timeline on it, also just to be on a safe side try to find a good immigration lawyer for any further pursuit, if you wish...

That is a bit unusual, they generally issue the remedical once they are satisified with relationship and the only thing at that point could be security check for which they may ask for updated PCC, did you provide sufficient evidence of relationship at the time of application

Did they ask you for proof of relationship after issuing Remedical or you just sent it voluntarily?
