    Flagpoling with a newborn

Must be expensive giving birth in Canada without yet being a PR. I ask that because my wife is set to give birth in few months but we obted to give birth in the US as it is very expensive here in Canada.

It makes you wonder why they need 30 days to process the notes when in fact it seems they only need few days. Anyways, you now have a peace of mind knowing your file is in process.

DECEMBER 2013 OUTLAND APPLICANTS – Join Here!!!

I ordered my notes on May 22 and ten minutes later my wife received an email requesting PPR. I guess it was just a coincidence as a separate department handles notes (not 100% sure). The deadline to receive my notes is June 22, so then I can share what is on my file.

Congrats. I think you need to inform CIC of the birth of your new baby. He or she will then be added to the COPR. I am not sure how long it takes to get a Canadian Citizenship Certificate but 6 months is too long. I assume it shouldn't take more than 2 months according to a friend of mine who...

Even though I did receive PPR, it could be another several months before receiving COPR. I agree, there is no straight forward answer of how CIC chooses to process applications. I know a person who applied May 2013 and still is waiting for PPR. Hopefully yours will come soon.

DECEMBER 2013 OUTLAND APPLICANTS – Join Here!!!

If you look at the Ottawa spreadsheet below, on average it could take between 2 weeks to 2 months to receive COPR once you receive PPR. Sometimes the status changes on the website after you receive the COPR. I wouldn't put to much emphasis on the site being updated reguraly...

That is what I assumed. It didn't say in the email that we received. I guess only time will tell if they want an interview.

If Ottawa ask for copy of passport, does that mean the interview is waived? Thanks.
