Hi guys. I have a question. I (well my husband let me order using his details. I know. GUYS. Haha) ordered GMCS notes on the 3rd. And yesterday, he received an email that he needed to send in a consent from me. So I got the form. My question is, did I do it right? I wrote my name in Section A. Since I will be the one who's giving the consent to release the information to him. I'm confused if I really sent in the correct details.

Help?

That's a bummer MLB. It seems no one has touched your file since January. I wonder what they have been doing since then. Smh.

Millertimez, you ordered yours a few weeks ago, right? I am curious to hear about the dates associated with yours and how much time it took between those and your PPR. I am really hoping shortly after May 6th someone picked our application out of the pile.

Good luck! I'm looking out for my second set next week. It will probably be the same thing

Patience, when did you request your first ones? Was there anything of note on them? Since both you and I have yet to hear something out of Ottawa, I am also interested in hearing what the next set brings for you. I hope it's something promising.

no, nothing was started really. The brought forward date, like everyone else, was 1 year after SA. I really wanted to make sure that they received our CSQ and also that they received my application, since they did not acknowledge anything after I sent an email request.

I don't have my consent forms handy to check but you are the one giving consent. Both my husband and I (sponsor) signed the form

I am going through them again and noticing now that the Security and Criminality sections both have a due date of Feb 7th, 2014, which had obviously passed when the notes were generated. Is that to be expected? The Eligibility section had a 2015 due date.

Thanks! I was really confused but sent it the form anyways. But, do think a scanned copy will be a problem? I filled out the form, scanned and sent it to him. He printed it out, signed it and scanned it again, sent it to ATIP.

Silly question - where is the brought forward date?

Under eligibility there is a due date of Jan 13, 2015, 1 yr after I got SA

Hmmm now you got me wondering what the difference is. My security had Feb 2, 2014 as the due date.

I think I read someone say that those clearances take some time to complete. Maybe they start them then and it's a few months for any updates?
Now I am extra curious what your next set of notes yield. I did order our 2nd set, but they won't be here till early July. Please keep us posted once you hear!

We had printed and signed at the same time then scanned it. I don't see how scanning it twice would matter

I ordered my notes on May 22 and ten minutes later my wife received an email requesting PPR. I guess it was just a coincidence as a separate department handles notes (not 100% sure). The deadline to receive my notes is June 22, so then I can share what is on my file.

We got some wonderful news this morning at 4:25am Toronto time. We received an email from the visa office in Pretoria with an attached letter. The heading of that attached letter is "Your Visa is Ready to be Issued" ;D I think I will have a permanent smile on my face all day today!

But we do have a slight concern. Our status on CIC's website still has the same 3 messages:

1. Application for PR was received Dec. 5, 2013.
2. Application is in processing as of Mar. 19, 2014.
3. Medical have been received (it doesn't say but this was added Jul 2, 2014 - we check every day).

We usually saw an update on the system before we received an email notification, if any at all. Why doesn't it say PR has been approved? Or that a decision has been made?

Anyhow, he's going ahead with it and sending the completed form (Annex A), along with the photos and passport.

We can't believe this waiting may be coming to an end very soon!!

Congrats Patiently! One more out the door :)
