CIT 0520 - Everyone that sent out docs in December 2015

I don't understand what they are trying to understand exactly. They didn't ask for anything whatsoever about the marriage in the CIT 0520 request form. They only requested Passport color copies, taxes, records of employment, lease/mortgage/living arrangement documents, and health records. How...

CIT 0520 - Everyone that sent out docs in December 2015

It's terrible they treat us like this. I just hope it's only because they want to perform "due diligence" and so forth. I feel bad for that woman you speak of, it's ridiculous. Anyways, this is strictly a proof of residency, nothing more. All they are focused on at this stage are the documents...

CIT 0520 - Everyone that sent out docs in December 2015

The only thing applies to me from that list is #9. I was married and divorced, sponsored in the past. The citizenship officer at the interview was very rude towards me, with terrible energy, probably because I'm a man, and/or simply because it's their job to be horrible towards people at random...

CIT 0520 - Everyone that sent out docs in December 2015

@ hvakili They physically received mine via Canada Post priority mail on December 18th, 2015. I'm being processed by the Montreal Office, CIC Eastern Region. Hope we hear something soon for all of us. I had 1,150 days, more than enough under the old 3/4 year rules. They just felt like giving...

CIT 0520 - No response (Montreal Office)

Is there anyone in this forum being handled by the Montreal office that also sent out their CIT 0520 supplementary documents and has yet to get an update on it?

CIT 0520 - No response (Montreal Office)

The CIT 0520 going into another queue is definitely concerning. The only action left in regards to "before action is taken" is to schedule the oath of citizenship. Oh interesting. It does make sense that the Syrian refugees land in Canada with PR status, as well as the handling by a separate...

CIT 0520 - No response (Montreal Office)

Hello everyone, Any Montreal applicants still waiting for a response answer to their CIT 0520's that were mailed to the CIC Eastern Region? I heard the response time for Montreal was about 2-4 weeks with the new processing speeds. They received my CIT 0520 response documentations on December...

Changing Address During End of Citizenship Process (revisited)

Can I move to northern Quebec (outside of Montreal city) and keep my final step of citizenship processing here in Montreal to finish off? Or will they automatically transfer my file out of Montreal somewhere else without my consent? I decided to take my other friends offer to temporarily stay...

Change living/mailing address, while moving to another province (Second call)

The problem with keeping my mailing address to where I'm living now is once I do leave for employment for Ontario, and I were to keep the mailing for Montreal, the mail will not be safe period. I would have to change my mailing address to a friend I trust here.

Change living/mailing address, while moving to another province (Second call)

I made another phone call earlier in the afternoon today. I asked that similar question about the whole "moving to Ontario for an employment opportunity, but keep the Citizenship case to process the remainder of its "final stage" in Montreal." The CIC agent said there is no problem with doing...

Moving to different province while your Citizenship case continues *Confirmed*

I don't understand, why would the CIC lie to me? There's nothing to gain from this. She clearly stated we can keep our cases processed where they originally started. Just write a letter to the address that is specific to the CIT 0520 form.

Moving to different province while your Citizenship case continues *Confirmed*

Oh wow... I just sent a letter to the citizenship official asking for a small extension to gather my documents for the CIT 0520 I received. When I called CIC the woman also mentioned they received my letter and are fine with giving me more time. Was that also a lie too? Is my case going to be...

Moving to different province while your Citizenship case continues *Confirmed*

I got off the phone with CIC agent yesterday after asking the big question in regards to keeping our Citizenship process continuing within where we live now, and moving to another province for employment opportunity. The answer is YES, we can move to another province for employment opportunity...

CIT 0520 Checklist question - Easy one

thanks for the input! I'll add a respectable amount of additional documentation then. Also, am I considered a "non-routine" application now with getting this CIT 0520, and how long will it take for an answer/result? Years? I'm not sure if CIT 0520's are big delayers of the application process...

CIT 0520 Time of 45 days to submit Entry/Exit record

Interesting. So if I were to get an RQ or CIT 0520 for some strange reason, I simply provide Immigration with my entire banking account transaction history summary printout since the day I landed as a PR up until now?

Question about changing mailing address for Citizenship mail

I see, it will create delays for sure. So I should just change my mailing address to my other friend that's in Montreal, the original plan. Thanks for the input!

Question about changing mailing address for Citizenship mail

Hi everyone, I brought this up previously, but this originally had to do with changing my address to another Montreal city address. I plan on moving to Ontario for a job opportunity, while I keep my mailing address here in Quebec, so I do not delay my process for when I get the next information...
