Inquiry on demo of continuous education

The current average waiting time for Manila is 28 months - this is based on a complete application. I would have your children enroll in school. If your application is completed before they are completed their school year, you can pull them out of school or simply wait until the year is done...

How to apply for Open Workpermit?

A senior member can correct me if I'm wrong, but at this point you cannot apply for an OWP until you have passed the first stage of the process. You can apply once your sponsor has been approved. When you have gained first stage approval (SA) you can apply online for an OWP, here...

Inquiry on demo of continuous education

A little bit more information would help a member answer your question more accurately. Are you applying Inland or Outland?

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I believe they will know. Otherwise, just bring one of the receipts that you are asked to print off after paying the fee and bring it with you to the landing appointment as proof. Usually it will be on your landing letter if you need to bring it or not, but my husband and I brought a lot of...

If it's taking this long... maybe they should consider hiring more people? I feel like this would solve issues. :P

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Depending on where you are landing it may take longer to get an appointment at the landing office. Halifax has a relatively low wait time and it took 2 weeks for my husband and I to get a landing letter. Keep checking your mailboxes as it will only come via snail mail. :)

    No Letter of Employment?

I would take the time to ask your manager to write a letter for you. If you explain what it's for, I'm sure that there wouldn't be an issue. If CIC are asking for a letter of employment, give it to them. You don't want this to be the reason for delays or further questioning which could delay...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

My husband's family came to visit from Turkey for a month. They only needed the documentation that was needed for their country, which in this case was a visitor/tourist visa at a cost. Your family needs one as well, as you mentioned. They can apply online for one...

    Sending the application

We used three separate envelopes and then combined them into one big envelope. The first envelope had the applicant's information, the second envelope had the sponsor information and the third envelope had our proof of relationship documents. We labeled them all 'Permanent Residence Application...

How do you Americans like Canada? :P

Double check with a broker! Wawanesa is one of the only insurance companies that takes driving history in other countries into account! Our insuranceis only 105 per month with the both of us on it, for a new car and for our apartment. My husband has had an accident and I'm accident free but the...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I thought for sure that our application was going to get the stink-eye as well. My husband and I had a whirl-wind relationship. We met in March 2012 over the internet (dating site), met in person in April 2012, moved to another province together in September 2012, were engaged in November 2012...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I hear you on the travel bit too! We were supposed to travel to Turkey in August - his family is dying to see him - and now we've had to push it back to November just to be safe. For all of you that are still waiting; remember that every bit of this wait is worth what comes in the end. The...

    Just paid fees- question!

In our case, my husband already had a Client ID from previous dealings with CIC RE: study permit & work permits. We printed 3, sent one, kept two and brought those two copies to the landing appointment though the agent never asked for it. It's always good to be prepared. If you can, scan it into...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Oh lordy. My husband landed on March 12th... I guess we shouldn't be counting down days just yet if you both landed February 25th, nearly two weeks ahead of us! My husband is chomping at the bit, he wants to get all of his banking/SIN/investment bit sorted out but we can't without the PR card...

Not a problem! This is correct. The couriered packages are sent to 2 Robert Speck Parkway. Since you are sending in additional documents, these would be sent to the additional/other correspondence address: BE SURE to put any client ID #s or Case #s you may have on a short cover letter you...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Guys, this is getting a little bit out of hand. I have been through this process and while others here may frustrate you with their opinions it is exactly that: an opinion... and you know what they say about those. ;) People who have negative things to say only want a reaction in some cases...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

I would definitely order your option Cs and send them. While there is no income requirement for sponsoring a spouse in Canada, CIC will want to be assured that if they award you PR status that you won't become a burden on the tax payers by going on welfare. I would definitely order them and send...
