    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Have you called CIC to ask about this? Did you receive confirmation that they received your application? My husband and I submitted our application April 1, 2013 and landed March 12, 2014...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

There was a transfer of backed up files from CPC Vegreville in Alberta to CPC Mississauga in Ontario. They're still getting things worked out from the strike that happened quite a while ago. Remember that just because people here are not getting any news does not mean that people are not hearing...

    Photo Evidence

When my husband and I sent pictures we sent pictures of both of us together, some pictures of just him and some pictures of just me. The problem is is that when you're on vacation just the two of you, sometimes you don't get to have shots together or the majority of the shots are just one of...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

The issue with the call center is not with the people there. They actually have nearly as much access to files as we do, which is not very much. They can tell your name, date of communications sent and that's about it. They probably can't even tell what the letters said even if they wanted to...

So I'm super worried about something. Need feedback

I'm not sure that this is right - senior members, feel free to correct me here. If that were the case, even if people from other countries were applying inland, that would mean that they would have to use the criteria from the country of origin... which we know is NOT the case. If that were the...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

It doesn't matter who calls, as long as they have all the information required to access information (i.e. if the sponsor is calling, the sponsor needs to know his/her client ID or the client ID of the applicant and the proper birth date appropriate for both). I was doing most of the calling to...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Congratulations! Even when my husband and I included everything in the application, it took them a month to give us DM after giving us AIP. Get your medicals scheduled ASAP and have them express posted over to the CPC - this may cut down the waiting time between AIP and DM. Generally though...

    sample letter of voluntarily proofs

Steerpike is correct, you don't have to send more proofs unless they ask, but my husband and I sent extra proofs nearly 8 1/2 months into our inland application process. We don't know if it made any difference as we received AIP/DM shortly after sending it. Here is the letter we attached to the...

    Traveling during an inland application.

You can be denied re-entry into Canada, regardless of the stage of your application. Some people have left and reported returning with little to no issue, but my husband (applicant) and I (sponsor) decided to remain in Canada as to not risk it. If you choose to leave, you run the risk of having...

What mail method are people using to send packets to sponser/CIC?

Always, always, double, even triple check the CIC website. Make it a habit. They can change things around without notifying anyone, very inconvenient and troublesome. Trust me, when you start getting into the whole process, everything will be on your radar. You've come to a great place - people...

Has anyone received their PR card yet? If so, what date did you land?

What mail method are people using to send packets to sponser/CIC?

Hubby and I used FedEx because you can track it every step of the way and you are notified when someone signs for it. You are even able to see who signed for it. I think this is very comforting since you tend to spend a lot of time working on everything. :)

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hubby's medicals were expired March 8th and we landed March 12th. I don't think it's a big deal after you get DM. If they were concerned about your medicals, I'm sure that they would have asked for a new one before they gave you DM. Also, has anyone received their PR card in the mail yet?

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Congratulations to all who have received approvals, have landed or have received their PR cards! Hubby has been an official PR for a month and a bit now! We're super excited to get his card in the mail as we've already planned a trip to Turkey to see his family in August. Super pumped! I'm...

    Sucess Story thread ;)

I have one! I have one! Me! Hubby and I received CoPR nearly 3 weeks ago. We met online in early March of 2012 and started actively dating in April of the same year. We spent every second day if not every day together. My husband - at the time, boyfriend - had already been living, studying and...
