    COPR- Visa exempt countries

Yes, when you have been approved and they send back your passport the package will definitely have the COPR (actually 2 copies) in it.

Thanks, I'm sure your PPR will be soon. Every case is different and depending on which part of Asia you are applying from makes a difference. I think one reason our application was fast tracked was because we were applying from Taiwan which has fewer cases of fraud. Also, all official documents...

    Ecas Application Tracker

I can confirm it's not working at all. Never got a single notice from start to finish.

    COPR- Visa exempt countries

Everyone gets a COPR, but applicants from non-exempt countries need to send their passport in to get a visa attached. The COPR is the paper that you must present to the immigration officer upon landing.

    Sponsor approval in 6 days!!!

Wow that is a record. For the first half of the year anything before 60 days was considered fast.

    Hong Kong timeline

Here's a summary of our undertaking. From preparing the sponsorship package, and throughout the process, the most helpful resource for me has been reading the timelines and background information of others who have gone through the whole process before us. Comparing their information with ours...

Wife's passport and COPR just arrived at our doorsteps. Thank you HK visa office for your efficiency and professionalism. The COPR was dated 11/23/2012 so from start to finish it took us just under 4 months. Must say I am very impressed at how fast the HK office handled our application, wish the...

Our ordeal is over. Wife's passport and COPR just arrived at our doorsteps. Still can't believe how fast our application was processed at the HK visa office. Thank you HK visa office for your efficiency and professionalism. The COPR was dated 11/23/2012 so from start to finish it took us just...

    No staples on application?

On my country specific guide it said keep documents and photos loose, and in brackets it says paper clips may be used to organize multi page forms.

Decision Made But No Address Change

So our eCAS updated today showing our future Canadian address. That's a relief. So all that's left is to wait for the COPR to be mailed back.

Thanks and hope yours will be done soon.

Decision Made But No Address Change

Our eCAS status changed to decision made today, but we noticed that my wife's address hasn't changed to our future Canadian address. What does this mean? We got PPR 2 weeks ago and sent in the passport the next day. The steps for our application has been totally different than of others. Usually...

    eCAS Updates in Stage 2

Our eCAS went from "application received" to "in process" last Friday, and to "decision made" today, so 3 days. I doubt they work on the weekends, so in actuality it was only 1 business day.

    eCAS Updates in Stage 2

Further update, so just checked eCAS and our status has changed from in process to decision made. Again, evidence that eCAS can be updated at anytime on any day. I am starting to suspect that eCAS in stage 2 is actually updated by the VO responsible for processing your application, and not by a...

While, just checked eCAS, it says decision made. Does this mean the visa is issued? We send my wife's passport in exactly 2 weeks ago. Weird thing is that we don't see a line with her future Canadian address in eCAS. Don't want to celebrate until passport and visa are in our hands.
