SEPTEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Most of us are in the same situation - waiting. You will have to get a new medical. You don't need to get it until they ask for it, but unless you think you will still be waiting for months, you could speed things up a bit by getting in now.

SEPTEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

You can apply with her maiden name if you want. We decided - to avoid potential confusion in processing and in the future - that it was better to get a new passport for my wife with married name. We figured better a month or two delay up front to avoid potential (possibly serious)...

SEPTEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

For those of us waiting on Manila VO, here's an update that should be good news... Processing time used to be (80% in less than) 17 months, but now it is down to 12 months. :D :D :D

I'm presuming you mean "urgently" (not agently). We paid a small courier fee - sounds normal to me. 8)

*NEW* MANILA VISA OFFICE Philippines SPOUSE/FAMILY TIMELINE

Wondering what the timeline has been for those that have gotten their spousal visa? My wife's visa application arrived in Manila beginning of December and we got AOR2 in January, but since then nothing. If we don't hear from them in the next few weeks my wife will not be able to come to...

SEPTEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Hi Karla; There are at least three of us that are September applicants waiting on Manila - perhaps more? 8) The additional doc. request was at the bottom of AOR2 (which we didn't get until Jan.) so looks like you got in ahead of the Christmas break and are ahead of us. They asked for...

SEPTEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

It's been two months now since the Manila office requested a couple of documents - which we of course promptly sent them. Is there any way to check with CIC on the status of my wife's application? Any way to follow-up with CIC?

For me it only works if I use the application number. I tried with UCI# but it didn't work.

Trying to pay the permanent resident fee now will probably just confuse things - your payment might even be lost. I would recommend simply waiting until they request it and pay it at that time - it won't delay the process that much.

SEPTEMBER 2015 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

I have a bit of good news to share - I think. We RX'd an Email from Manila a month ago requesting additional document - which we of course sent them right away. My wife was thinking it was bad news that we missed the document, but I told her it was good news - that it meant they had started to...

;D People that are new to Canada sometimes don't realize how HUGE this country is. One cannot drive across it in an afternoon like countries in Europe - it takes a week. ;D
