Haha yes. Imeant urgently . Was just suprised to get a call about not paying . Which wasnt mentioned anywhere. The letter i got just said passport,pics etc should be sent to.....following address.
Bt its ok. Ipaid yesterday it was CAD31.06 per person.

Congratulations, you have to send what they ask in the letter, using a courrier, Fedex, Ups, Etc.
and then example a few weeks later you get passport with visa back.

IN AM IN CANADA ON A LIMIA WORK PERMIT, I MAKE $100000 IN YEAR, RECENTLY ON 10/MARCH/2016 I APPLIED FOR MY WIFE OPEN WORK PERMIT IN CHANDIGARH,INDIA, TODAY ON 5/MAY/2016 ITS BEEN 2 MONTHS I DIDNT HEAR ANYTHING FROM CIC, I SENT A ENQUIRY EMAIL TODAY, WHEN I CHECK CIC WEBSITE IT SAYS 2 MONTH IS PROCESSING TIME,

Processing time used to be (80% in less than) 17 months, but now it is down to 12 months.

I want to ask if you had sent them a copy of your passport in the application, and if so, why they asked for the passport. I read that a copy of the passport is all they need, not the actual one. Then if they don't ask for the passport, would they just say DM? I'm curious.

will you be doing family sponsorship or is work permit related? if its work maybe check Skilled Worker/Professional Immigration Section. or express entry?
to be honest i know nothing about permits....hope you can get help

Eight months would be nice, but I've never seen that on the CIC website.
