ijust received passport request (ppr), also need to send pictures. but i see its still the old specification 35 x 45 mm.
also yesterday it was our 1st anniversary, we kept hoping for a present checking Ecas almost the whole day....for real.
and today i got a surprise email . my ecas still say in process.
hang in there everyone. the wait is almost over....oh and just a quick note, beginning of april, they still sent us a message wanting processing fee for our child. but we had already paid. we just replied back on the email saying we already did. but we attached the receipt again.
Congratulations everyone who got their PRs Now our biggest challenge is to find a good job :-X :-X :-Xstephcy said:Congrats kitty_T I'm so happy for you I was sure u will get approved fast happy landing. When r u planing to move in?
I got my SIN number too on Friday. Just to let everyone know. U have to go to Service Canada for that one, nor Service Ontario, they are two different departments, buildings and even areas they are. It's pretty easy to get it just with your passport and PR or COPR. There is just a long waiting time, except if you go early in the morning
Good luck to everyone else too and congrats to those who got approved

Ah yeah, I see nowstephcy said:Hey Aman_Khatra,
I was already in Canada for the whole process and just crossed the borders at Peace Bridge to get landed. You can't get your SIN number in every landing entry, I suppose it depends where you land Beside the waiting time, Service Canada is not that bad, just go early. Once is your turn it only takes 10 min You were luck that you got it when you landed Good luck with finding a job
Awesome congrats on your landing.. I will be landing there on saturday if GOds will... How was your landing experience? Im not taking tons of stuff and have no good to follow..Aman_Khatra said:Ah yeah, I see now
Well in case of airport it is always possible to get SIN there I landed in Mississauga, Toronto Pearson Airport..
Thank you so much!
Ahh, same to you friend, everything will be fine, people are very welcoming here...the only process that took comparably long time was customs( the process of standing in queue)..But when my turn came, it took only around 3-4 minutes to pass through. In your case it must be even faster. Standard questions at immigration(well mostly my husband was answering as he was with me). Don`t worry...But if you are bringing jewelry/valuables into Canada or plan to bring it at a later date, this is a great opportunity as you can bring things tax and duty free. Make a list of all valuables with pictures and their approximate price in Canadian dollars. They will stamp the list and give you a form. You won't have any questions asked about these items in the future when you show them that stamped list and form.Jbodden said:Awesome congrats on your landing..
