It's not as slow as some other VOs, but it's been quiet.
It will also depend on what country you or your spuce from.
We've applied in October, just got GCMS notes, and so far nothing has progressed, will be ordering another set of notes next month
I've sent additional proof of relationship, and you only get autoreply stating that the email was delivered. There will be no communication back.
I've ordered GCMS notes, so we'll see if there's any mention of it.
I'm perfectly fine with condition 51.
It's the a step in a right direction with fighting fraud, which is one of the main reasons why our applications take so long in the first place.
It looks like you've posted a bunch of the same topics around the forum, and people answered to you.
You canno do family class sponsorship while you on study permit. You need to be a Permanent Resident or a Citizen
Having a child together is better than not having it, however it does not prove anything to the CIC. They will need to have other evidence of them being in a legit relationship.
Being married in the past will not really affect the process, as long as the proper paperwork is in place.
Did you have any red flags in your application?
Did you request GCMS notes?
From what I've seen, sometimes they may give you your passport with visa at the end if the interview, they just may want to see you.
Keep in mind they will scrutinise your application due to the fact that you recently divorced someone who you've sponsored before, and he took out welfare.
So don't rush, and prepare a lot of evidence of your relationship.
Good luck.
I would recommend an Outland application, as it is very likely that you will get your PR pretty soon.
From what I understand current Inland applications can take up to 28 months.
While I understand your frustration, CIC is trying to keep Canada safe from the fraudulent cases. There's no perfect method, and it is inevitable that some couples could get labeled as not genuine.
To avoid that, couples are encouraged to submit as much tangible proof as possible.
If I end up in...
It is frustrating, but you just confirmed that the system works.
VO officers make a decision based on presented facts, if they choose to refuse, you have a chance to prove them wrong and appeal.
If you succeed, there is your justice, however if you do not, it means that you either didn't do...
You need to understand that any of the changes related to spousal sponsorship will not affect people who already have applied.
This is all about politics and bureaucracy, and both take tremendous amount of time
To be honest, I'm ok with this.
Even though it takes a while to get the paperwork sorted and the wait time is long, it ensures that only legit couples get the privilege to live in Canada.
In the end, the main reason why we have to go through all this, is because a lot of people abused the system.
