Yeah, it is such a strange response. Let us wait and see. I will provide an update if I get a response for my enquiry.

New travel exemption for immediate family member not being honoured or implemented by OUTCAN visa offices

Since you've included the quarantine plan, this eliminates my 1st guess. Good :D I'm the PR holder and I applied for my spouse. We don't have a sponsorship application in process. This makes our application a bit tricky and I was totally ready for a refusal letter but not this one.

New travel exemption for immediate family member not being honoured or implemented by OUTCAN visa offices

I have no idea. I initially thought maybe they didn't read all my documents and they assumed the visit is for less than 15 days but after checking the application, I can see it asks for the visit duration and I set it for 6 months. I also provided a very detailed letter of explanation (LOE) to...

New travel exemption for immediate family member not being honoured or implemented by OUTCAN visa offices

Glad to see it wasn't only me! I've submitted a TRV on 17th June, received biometric collection letter yesterday, and today I got the same letter as OP! It was so unexpected that I had to re-read the letter and the pages on CIC website several times to make sure I'm not reading something wrong...

Will this reason be considered an essential travel for a TRV application?

Thanks Scylla! I wasn't aware about that rule. The law says: “An intention by a foreign national to become a permanent resident does not preclude them from becoming a temporary resident if the officer is satisfied that they will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for their stay”...

Will this reason be considered an essential travel for a TRV application?

I appreciate your feedback canuck78 & Buletruck, thank you! :) I do agree with you. Our chances are pretty low but at the same time we won't lose much if we try our best. We are genuine visitors who will follow the immigration rules which allow having dual intentions as long as we respect the...

Will this reason be considered an essential travel for a TRV application?

I didn’t know about the RO requirement for sponsorship. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Not Syrian but a similar high risk country so you are close enough. We live in a similar high income country (Australia), earn good income, and if we travel, my spouse is obliged to come back to...

Will this reason be considered an essential travel for a TRV application?

Thanks for your reply. I understand TRV application will need to be air-tight to be successful. But do you mean as long as the spouse can receive TRV, there is no requirement for an essential reason to travel? From what I read, it seems TRV holders can't travel for non-essential reasons.

Will this reason be considered an essential travel for a TRV application?

Hi, If a PR holder is about to breach the residency requirement and would like to move to Canada with their spouse as soon as possible, any chance this could be considered an essential travel if the spouse applies for TRV and travel authorisation? anyone in a similar situation? Some context...

    No reply from CIC

Thanks everyone. The document is an LOE that I missed to attach with my application. I've sent another request today so will wait and see how it goes.

    No reply from CIC

I submitted a missing document through the contact form more than three weeks ago and I haven't received any reply or update from CIC and my application is not updated as well. It seems my application isn't processed yet and I'm worried it will be rejected as incomplete and would like to get...

    Father name problem

Is there any other information in those education documents that match information on your passport? For example date of birth or a national identity number? If the answer is yes, I really think an LOE that explains the misspelling and highlighting those other matching information is more than...

    Father name problem

I have an arabic name with misspelled letters as well. I travelled to many western countries and it always caused some confusion because of the different style but really nothing more than that. I don't think you need to worry about it too much. ABU or ABOO sound the same and it is clear they...

    GOOD TIP: ECA - WES

I have ordered a duplicate report delivered online because I have done mine way back in 2013 and it looks exacrly as the hard copy and I uploaded it. Since CIC care most about the reference number, I don't think it matters whether you upload hard or digital copy.

I made a mess and I really need your help!

Thank you so much for giving me some hope! Yes I mentioned in the contact form that I need to attach an LOE to my application. And i attached an loe stating that as per CIC website A pcc from syria is not required at the time of submission and I explained why i didn't include it with the...

I made a mess and I really need your help!

Thank you guys. I have submitted the missing loe through the cse contact form and now just have to wait and see. A possible option I'm thinking of now is to just withdraw the application and go back to EE pool. That might be better than wasting weeks and at the end get a rejection. But I...
