I submitted a missing document through the contact form more than three weeks ago and I haven't received any reply or update from CIC and my application is not updated as well. It seems my application isn't processed yet and I'm worried it will be rejected as incomplete and would like to get that document attached asap. Any advice please? Should I resubmit the form or call cic? is it normal to wait this long?

What kind of update are you expecting to see on your application? If you were not asked there will be nothing reflected in your application. When you send a CSE they unusually send you an email telling you what happens next and the circumstances under which the do or not respond. You should review that.confused_aj said:

Your stress is understandable. When I sent CSE, I heard back in 15 days that the document I submitted, has been added to my application. However, application status stayed unchanged.
Please check spam folder.
You can call CIC and ask if the doc has been addd to your application.

for submitting docs by CSE, it takes them 5 business days to confirm receiving the docs, and 2-3 weeks for actually processing it

when they asked for extra documents i had to upload them to CIC i clicked view submitted application and there was a field to upload ( that is if they requested documents)
