    So worried about this

Your main worry should be that if they asked you to leave and you didn't. If you left and were cleared to return as you say you were then there should be no issue. Having nervous attacks and "panic" moments are normal. Breathe deep, relax and have faith in your relationship with your husband...

Harmin, I am sorry to hear of this. That having been said, you are the only one who can make these decisions as you know best. I don't think it's right for any of us to criticize or judge. Safe trip, and I wish you all the luck in the world, my friend.

It is sad, but sometimes family are the ones who have trouble seeing it. My aunt was asking about it and I told her that we would have conditional PR because we hadn't been together long before we were married and she asked me what happened if my husband left me after the two years and just took...

Yes! I couldn't remember if it was two years or three, I was just so friggin happy. :) But yes, it was 3 years. Was your officer a younger woman with short dark hair? Yes, she told us that citizenship rules were changing and that when the time came for us to apply for citizenship, the new rules...

My husband and I only received our landing letter 20 days after getting DM. It really depends on your landing office - if you call the CIC call center and tell them where you will be landing, the agent can tell you what the waiting time for a landing appointment is. Don't worry! :)

Thank you so much everyone! I cannot stress how much this forum has helped me and in turn, my husband, find our way through this arduous process and keep our sanity intact on the other side. This has been such a happy day for us - I want to cry and cheer at the same time. I will be staying on...

Hubby will be landing tomorrow and I start a new job shortly after! We'll keep you updated on how everything goes and give you the run down of what went on as soon as we can. Can't believe this day is already here! Seems like yesterday we sent off our application! :)

Called CIC yesterday and they said that the Immigration Documents meant past work permits/study permits/visas. So you had the right idea, Spikey. In my husband's case, that's quite a few documents. I'm also bringing several pieces of photo ID as the agent said that it depends on who the agent is...

Thank you for the input Linden, it is very much appreciated! In our case, we won't be able to bring the whole application as it was upwards of 400 pages, but we will bring copies of our leases/rental agreement and joint bank account papers as well just to be sure. So excited! :)

:( It would have been so cool if we could have met in passing! Hubby and I are probably going out for drinks that night to celebrate, so if you see two rowdy people and a guy decked out in 'Canada' things at a bar that night, don't be shy! We'll buy you a drink! Out of curiosity, does your...

Woo Hoo! Hubby and I got home from vacation today and we checked the mailbox to find a letter from the local office. Our landing date is March 12th at 10 am at the Halifax office! So, this coming Wednesday. Super excited! Sounds like we'll be meeting Spikey there too! Now, I have a few...

Blah, still on vacation, but still no landing appointment from the Halifax office even though we received DM on February 20th. I'm really hoping that they didn't just pass over us completely. :/

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Well now I'm slightly concerned because hubby and I are supposed to land in Halifax as well and we still have not received news of a landing appointment after getting DM on February 20th... :/ I'm hoping that we didn't miss the email as we're on vacation out of province at the moment until late...

I think for all the hardship that an immigration process can put a couple through, it makes us stronger! It puts us through all the hard times that many couples never experience at all or until later in marriage, we get to deal with these things first so that we know what we can handle as...

Congrats Guri! It must feel like weight has been lifted off of your shoulders! I would like to thank you for continuing to keep the spreadsheet up to date, it is much appreciated. Also, hubby has a temporary SIN that expired when his old work permit expired, when we received AIP/OWP, we just...

OH MY GOD! Congratulations, Cirene! I am SO absolutely ecstatic for you and your hubby! I just called my husband to tell him your good news! We've both been wondering about you! Give CIC a call to ask how long the wait time is for the Calgary office in concerns to hearing about a landing...

+1, Ponga. As soon as I can repeat the action, another +1. Guys, this is going to sound really silly and I feel like I should know this by now, but when my husband lands and becomes a PR, do we need to apply for the PR card ourselves...

CIC can do whatever the heck CIC wants to do. That includes tracking IP addresses... I would think that this is more of a concern for them if they really do have serious doubts about the validity of your realtionship. I don't think that it's out of the realm of possiblity.
