When I received AIP email, it said my work permit has been approved. But I called cic today and the officer told me cic has been still reviewing my work permit application. At this point, I have no idea about the word "approved" for my work permit.

Yes, I'd love to feel that. I'm not gonna take basic rights and freedom for granted. Struggling with unemployment, no health care, no ID..which even spouses can't understand fully. This forum is very stress relieving. :)

I redid medical exam and would like to share small information. I live in Brampton Ontario. I chose Colin F. Saldanha in Mississauga. It took one and half hours even though it was really busy. But the Xray place was quite far for public transportation. The address of the X-ray place was 2300...

Is anybody who got AIP email receive actual mail? What's next after I get AIP and OWP? I've heard I need temporary SIN.

CIC received your additional documents? It took 3-4 days to review my wife's passport.

you'd better submit it to prove the applicants' family relation like you send a copy of your passport to identify yourself. Anyway you might need a lot of documents from South Korea. It's just one piece of paper and it costs almost nothing for that. Good luck

I checked the status of application. 1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 16, 2012. 2. We started processing your application on October 8, 2013. I got AIP email on Oct 8. So does it mean cic started step 2 for my application? Btw, I have to redo my medical.

It's every Thursday. They may skip this week for thanksgiving day. I wanted to show my official AIP & work permit letter to my family this week. No mail today. But at least I got email :)

Yes, just for faxing my wife (sponsor)'s passport. It was a date entry error. Normally they don't call for AIP.
